This rugged sleazy shoulder guard is made from Spandura™, an amazing high-tech fabric that combines the toughness of Cordura with the stretch of Lycra. The neck opening is sized right so there is nothing exposed to get wet. Put an end to those ugly rubs.
Design your Lycra shoulder guard to fit your needs! This shoulder slicker comes with a Velcro® closure on an extra-wide and extra-comfortable girth strap or, you can add an ABS side-release buckle. You have the option to upgrade the girth elastic to premium woven elastic. Likewise, you can add a center yoke between the front legs. In addition, you have the choice between the regular width center yoke or the extra-wide yoke for more coverage.

In general, most horses tolerate things around their heads. Therefore, putting on your horse’s shoulder guard is easy to do. Open the girth closure. With both hands, gather the shoulder guard like you are putting on a sock. The neck opening is the large opening without the elastic strap. Then, put your horse’s head through the neck opening. Slide the sleazy shoulder guard down the neck to the shoulders. Close the girth strap on the left side. Your Lycra shoulder guard should fit smoothly, like swimwear, on the horse’s shoulders. Otherwise, if it is too tight, it could create a rub.
Because this horse sleazy shoulder guard contains 87% Cordura nylon/ 13% Lycra, it is machine washable. Air dries fast. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for the best results. Wash the shoulder slicker at least once a month to prevent bacteria buildup.
