We designed every equine Mane Tamer to provide a comfortable fit. Comes with three adjustable, soft-elastic neck-straps with buckle closure. Also, you also have your choice of an easy-to-fasten ABS side-release buckle or Velcro closure at the horse’s girth.

Easy on/Easy off

In general, most horses tolerate things around their heads.  Therefore, putting on your horse’s mane tamer is easy to do.  Open the throatlatch Velcro and unbuckle the neck buckles.   Lay the middle of the mane tamer over the mane. Close and tighten the throatlatch Velcro, otherwise, the neck portion may slide. If you have an overlap of the Velcro, trim the excess. Then, close the girth elastic. Lastly, adjust the elastic bands on the neck using the slider adjustments. It should fit smooth like swimwear but not too tight to create a rub.

Mane Tamer Care

Because these Mane Tamers contain 80% nylon/ 20% Lycra, they are machine washable. Air dries in a jiffy. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results.
