Our Neoprene Tail Guard helps prevent hair breakage at the dock and upper tail by cushioning against rubbing and fraying in the stall and pasture, at the show, or during breeding. Unlike typical neoprene tail wraps, the special AirFlo^® liner makes our wrap comfortable enough to be left on for long periods of time. No need to worry about wrapping too tight or slipping. It’s the perfect solution for horses that sit on or rub their tails on the trailer!

Easy on/Easy off

Place the tail protector on the dock of the tail, as high up as possible. Tuck the inside flap against the tail. Pullover the outside flap of loop Velcro over the inner hook Velcro. There are over 4 inches of adjustment so it can fit a wide variety of tail diameters. The Air-Flo liner allows you to snug down the Tail Guard more than a regular neoprene tail guard. Note….there may be an overlap of Velcro if your horse’s tail is not as thick as the average horse. Also, do not have any product on your horse’s tail. Conditioners and detanglers make the tail hair slippery. Please allow time for your horse to adjust to something new on its tail.

Care

Because the horse Tail Guard is made from 80% nylon/ 20% Lycra, it is machine washable. Air dries fast. For best results, follow our simple Care Instructions.
