Keep your horse calm while riding with our Fly Mesh Quarter Sheet! This fly armor rump cover provides protection from horse flies (the Big Bombers!), deer flies, stable flies, and dust. The heavy-duty, wide Velcro closure in front of the saddle allows the sheet to be quickly put on after the horse is saddled—and can be taken off without removing the girth or saddle (or even dismounting). A cutaway under the rider’s legs means no interference with leg aids or the use of spurs. The stretchy, supple Lycra fabric moves with your horse and is contoured to the horse’s rump for a comfortable fit.

Care

Because the fly armor rump cover contains 80% nylon/ 20% Lycra, it is machine washable. Air dries fast. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results.

What Makes Moisture Wicking Mesh so Special

Moisture-wicking mesh is ideal because it allows maximum freedom of movement and makes an excellent hot-weather outer covering.

Moisture-wicking fly mesh features a body-hugging 4-way stretch that is very breathable. It will keep your horse dry when he sweats. These are the most versatile outdoor fabrics available today. This fabric has a  soft inner layer that pulls moisture away from the skin keeping your horse dry, cool, and comfortable.

How does this work? Moisture and high humidity next to the skin cause discomfort.  Performance mesh will keep the skin dry because the fabric is very breathable and does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor.  When the fabric’s inner surface touches the horse’s body it will draw off the sweat. Sweat is wicked off the skin to the outside of the fabric, where it spreads rapidly for evaporation.  Because it spreads out to many times its original surface area, your horse will stay cool and dry.

When used under looser fitting non-stretch fly mesh hood and sheets, it prevents rubbing  Keep your horse dry and comfortable while protecting and polishing the hair coat.
