These sleazy horse hoods are lined with breathable, body-hugging stretch polar fleece that keeps your mini toasty while allowing for full-body movement. Miniature horse fleece-lined sleezy come with your choice of an ABS side-release buckle or Velcro closure on the girth strap. Build your own sleezy and get the features you want, such as a heavy-duty YKK throat zipper from muzzle to mid-neck or a full-opening chest-to-muzzle YKK zipper. You can also upgrade the girth elastic to heavy-duty elastic and/or add a center yoke between the front legs. It’s made to order just for you and your mini!

Sizing

Easy on/Easy off

In general, most minis tolerate things pulled over their heads. Therefore, it is easy to put on a sleezy. Open the noseband Velcro. Bunch up the slinky and slip it over your mini’s head.  Adjust the holes until your miniature’s eyes and ears are in the center.   Slide the remaining slinky over the neck and shoulders. Close the girth attachment and the noseband Velcro. Finally, your mini’s horse slinky should fit smooth, like swimwear, but not tight.

Custom embroidery

You can personalize your fleece-lined miniature horse hood with your monogram or name, your mini’s name, or advertise your farm or ranch. We’ll embroider up to 12 characters per line (including spaces). We recommend selecting a contrasting thread color that will show up.

Care

Because these sleazys are made from 54% polyester/ 34% nylon/ 12% Lycra, they are machine washable. Air dries fast. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results.

Polartec Power Stretch fleece is ideal because it allows maximum freedom of movement with clean profiles. Adaptable to changing weather conditions, Polartec Power Stretch makes an excellent warm outer covering.

Polartec Power Stretch fleece features a body-hugging 4-way stretch that is very breathable. It will keep your horse dry when he sweats and provides warmth without weight. These are the most versatile outdoor fabrics available today. This fabric features a proprietary construction with two unique surfaces: the durable nylon outer layer is wind and abrasion-resistant; the soft inner layer pulls moisture away from the skin keeping your horse dry, warm and comfortable.

How does this work? Moisture and high humidity next to the skin cause discomfort.  Polartec fleece will keep the skin dry because the fabric is very breathable and does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor.  When the fabric’s inner surface touches the horse’s body it will draw off the sweat. Sweat is wicked off the skin to the outside of the fabric, where it spreads rapidly for evaporation. When the sweat reaches the outside of the fabric, it spreads out to many times its original surface area, enabling it to dry at least twice as fast as cotton.

Polartec Power Stretch fleece provides warmth without the weight and bulk of traditional insulating fabrics.  It is also wind-resistant to reduce the effect of wind chill.  When used under looser fitting winter hoods, it prevents rubbing or use it alone on cool spring and fall days.  Keep your horse warm and comfortable while protecting and polishing the hair coat.
