The Miniature Horse Fleece Body Suit is perfect to use under heavy winter blankets as an additional layer of warmth or as an underliner. See article about bacteria, fungi, and mold build-up under winter blankets. Because an underliner is much easier to wash than a bulky winter blanket, you can wash it at home. You will be able to keep bacteria build-up to a minimum. Also, your mini will appreciate being less itchy. Your body sleazy needs washing at least twice a month to prevent bacteria build-up. Because a heavy winter blanket traps body heat, the fleece underliner can overstretch. Remove it. Let the Lycra® recover its memory by giving the sheet a good shake. Then, let it hang over a railing.

You can personalize your mini’s body sleazy with your monogram or name, your horse’s name or advertise your farm or ranch. We’ll embroider up to 12 characters per line (including spaces). We recommend selecting a contrasting thread color that will show up.
In general, most minis tolerate things put on them. Therefore, it is easy to put on a Body Suit. Open the Velcro belly band.  Slip the wide neck opening over the mini’s head and adjust the back seam so it runs down the middle of his back. Velcro shut the belly band. Finally, your Lycra Body Suit should fit smoothly, like swimwear, over your mini’s body, but not too tight to create a rub.
The Miniature Horse Fleece Sheet contains 54% polyester/ 34% nylon/ 12% Lycra® fabric. Therefore, it is machine washable. Air dries in no time. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results.
Polartec Power Stretch fleece is ideal because it allows maximum freedom of movement with clean profiles. Adaptable to changing weather conditions, Polartec Power Stretch makes an excellent warm outer covering.
How does this work? Moisture and high humidity next to the skin cause discomfort. Â Polartec fleece will keep the skin dry because the fabric is very breathable and does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor. Â When the fabric’s inner surface touches the horse’s body it will draw off the sweat. The fabric wicks the sweat off the skin to the outside of the fabric, where it then spreads rapidly for evaporation. When the sweat reaches the outside of the fabric, it spreads out to many times its original surface area, enabling it to dry at least twice as fast as cotton.
Polartec Power Stretch fleece provides warmth without the weight and bulk of traditional insulating fabrics. Â It is also wind-resistant to reduce the effect of wind chill.
