These “easy on, easy off” stretch horse hoods keep bands and braids neatly in place before the show. Trains the mane and keeps the head, neck, and shoulders clean and fly-free. Plus, there’s no polar fleece on the noseband to pick up shavings and other debris—a major source of rubbing and irritation for your horse.
Our customized-fit system ensures your horse gets the fit you’re looking for. No one-size-fits-all like the other brands! But your horse isn’t average? We’ll change our patterns to your measurements. Call us or use this Measuring Guide.
In addition, you can personalize your horse hood with your name or monogram, your horse’s name, or advertise your farm or ranch. We’ll embroider up to 14 characters per line (including spaces). We recommend selecting a contrasting thread color that will show up.
In general, most horses tolerate things pulled over their heads. Therefore, the Lycra Sleezy is simple to put on. Open the noseband Velcro. Bunch up the slinky and slip it over your horse’s head. Adjust the holes until your horse’s eyes and ears are in the center. Slide the remaining slinky over the neck and shoulders. Close the girth attachment. Close the noseband Velcro. Finally, your Lycra Hood should fit smooth, like swimwear, but not tight.

Your custom horse sleazy contains 80% nylon/ 20% spandex fabric. Therefore, it is machine washable. Air dries fast. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results. If you are using your slinky horse wear as an underliner, wash your slinky at least once a month to prevent bacteria build-up.

Just wanted to let you know how much I like the hood I bought recently. I have used several different brands over the years and when I first got this one I was a little nervous because there was no zipper or Velcro, but to my surprise it is the best fitting sleezy I have ever used. It took the horse a little bit to get used to putting it on, but now he wears it fine and it stays put, just like second skin. Anyway, just wanted to let you know.

I just wanted to let you know I received the sleezy today and I love it!! Our show mare has had the same one for like 4 years and the zipper finally broke at the last show. It was just a plain green one. She will be stylin at the Palomino World show next week. I just love the material..it’s so soft and the long throat zipper is great. Also it’s hard to find a X-large and she really needs that as she built like a tank (halter mare).
