Does your horse absolutely hate having his head covered up? With our Faceless Sleezy, you can train your horse’s mane and protect his shoulders from blanket rub marks and sunburn without causing him unnecessary stress. Accordion pleats in our headless horse hood allow for extra room when your horse puts his head down to eat. The throatlatch opening is reinforced and fully adjustable, with a wide Velcro strap that can’t be rubbed open or slide down the neck.

In addition, you can personalize your faceless horse sleezy with your name or monogram, your horse’s name, or advertise your farm or ranch. We’ll embroider up to 14 characters per line (including spaces). We recommend selecting a contrasting thread color that will show up.
In general, most horses tolerate things pulled over their heads. Therefore, your horse’s headless hoodie is simple to put on. Open the wide velcro on the neck opening, putting your horse’s head through. Slip over the neck and shoulders. Close the left side girth strap. Tighten the throatlatch Velcro®, otherwise, the neck portion may slide. If you have an overlap of the Velcro®, trim the excess. Thus, your headless hood should fit smooth, like swimwear, but not tight.
Your faceless slicker contains 80% nylon/ 20% spandex fabric. Therefore, it is machine washable and air dries fast. For best results, follow our simple Care Instructions. You should wash your faceless slinky at least once a month to prevent bacteria build-up.
Belle was a Saddlebred mare who injured her neck vertebrae. She had gotten so sore she couldn’t put her head down to nibble on the grass. 
The vet suggested heat therapy. Working with Belle’s owner, Kelly, we created a “therapy jacket”. Using our headless slinky, we added three large pockets on each side of the neck. The pockets allowed Kelly to insert her heat packets and hold them in place. Kelly told us the therapy jacket had helped Belle immensely and she could lower her head again.

I’ve been meaning to let you know for more than a week. The extended neck shoulder guard fits my mare perfectly, and the neck extension piece stays where it should and does not roll down when she grazes. I’m very excited to know that I found something that will cover the sun-sensitive area at her withers so that she can stay in turnout longer and not get fried in the summer sun.

I just wanted to send you a short note to let you know how much ordering one of your shoulder guards helped my paint mare last year. Just in the last couple years (and we live in Texas) she has been getting sunburned pretty bad on her shoulder/neck area and sunscreen just wasn’t doing it. The shoulder guard I ordered totally worked on protecting her from the sun and I think she realized it too because brushing her in that area got to be a bit painful for her, and it wasn’t any longer. I ordered another one this year just because it worked so well and a lot less expensive route/less hassle in the long run. And they are pretty snazzy too so she is actually making fashion statement in my field everyday LOL.
