Need to keep your pony toasty warm this winter?  Our pony faceless full body slinky fashioned from breathable, body-hugging stretch polar fleece keeps your pony comfy warm while allowing for full-body movement. Instead of cheap fleece that sags, mats, and pills, we use 100% Power-Stretch™ fleece direct from Malden Mills, America’s premier Polartec fleece manufacturer. The smooth outer shell with soft fleece lining provides warmth without the weight and bulk of traditional insulating fabrics. We are the designers and manufacturers of the Faceless Sleezy. Invented in 2010, this product filled the need of miniature horse owners who wanted a headless sleazy.  Now, there are knock-offs, poor quality imitations, and cheap imports. Look for our label in each product with our logo and registered trademark. The original is still the best!

Keep a healthy hair coat

The Fleece-Lined Pony Headless Full-Body is perfect to use under heavy winter blankets as an additional layer of warmth or as an underliner. See article about bacteria, fungi, and mold build-up under winter blankets. Because an underliner is much easier to wash than a bulky winter blanket, you can wash it at home.  You will be able to keep bacteria build-up to a minimum. Also, your pony will appreciate being less itchy. Your body sleazy needs washing at least twice a month to prevent bacteria build-up. Because a heavy winter blanket traps body heat, the fleece underliner can overstretch. Remove it. Let the Lycra® recover its memory by giving the sheet a good shake. Then, let it hang over a railing.

Sizing

Custom embroidery

You can personalize your pony’s fleece-lined faceless body slinky with your monogram or name, your pony’s name, or advertise your farm or ranch. We’ll embroider up to 14 characters per line (including spaces). We recommend selecting a contrasting thread color that will show up.

Easy on/Easy off

In general, most ponies tolerate things around their head.  First of all, open the full-length zipper, Velcro® throatlatch, and Velcro® belly band.  Lay the middle of the sleazy along your pony’s top line.  Starting at the bottom of the chest, zip up the chest zipper.  Tighten the throatlatch Velcro®.  Straighten the back seam until it runs down the middle of the back. Close the Velcro® belly band. Your faceless full-body sleazy should fit smoothly, like swimwear, but not too tight to create a rub.

Care

Because the pony fleece-lined faceless full body sleazy contains 54% polyester/ 34% nylon/ 12% spandex fabric, it is machine washable. Air dries fast. Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results. Wash your faceless body slinky at least once a month to prevent bacteria build-up.

What Makes Polartec Power Stretch Fleece so Special

Polartec Power Stretch fleece provides maximum freedom of movement and clean profiles.  As such, it is an ideal fabric. Adaptable to changing weather conditions, Polartec Power Stretch makes an excellent warm outer covering.

Polartec Power Stretch fleece features a body-hugging 4-way stretch that is very breathable. It will keep your pony dry when he sweats and provides warmth without weight. These are the most versatile outdoor fabrics available today. This fabric features a proprietary construction with two unique surfaces: the durable nylon outer layer is wind and abrasion-resistant; the soft inner layer pulls moisture away from the skin keeping your horse dry, warm and comfortable.

How does this work? Moisture and high humidity next to the skin cause discomfort.  Polartec fleece will keep the skin dry because the fabric is very breathable and does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor.  When the fabric’s inner surface touches the pony’s body it will draw off the sweat. The fabric wicks the sweat off the skin. There, it spreads rapidly for evaporation.  When the sweat reaches the outside of the fabric, it spreads out to many times its original surface area, enabling it to dry at least twice as fast as cotton.

Polartec Power Stretch fleece provides warmth without the weight and bulk of traditional insulating fabrics.  It is also wind-resistant to reduce the effect of wind chill.  When used under looser fitting winter hoods, it prevents rubbing.  You can use the fleece-lined full body sleazy alone on cool spring and fall days.  Keep your horse warm and comfortable while protecting and polishing the hair coat.
