Brand new. There was a fold in the fabric when it was printed causing this area of broken tiger stripes. It does not affect the useability. It’s just a misprint.  The product picture shows the style and the gallery picture shows the misprint. This is a size LARGE. It fits an average horse that wears a 74″-76″ blanket. Easy on/Easy off

In general, most horses tolerate things around their heads.  Therefore, putting on your horse’s shoulder guard is easy to do. Open the girth closure. With both hands, gather the shoulder guard as if you are ready to put on a sock.  The neck opening is the large opening without the long elastic. Then, put your horse’s head through the neck opening. Slide it down the neck to the shoulders. Close the girth strap on the left side. Finally, your sleazy should fit smoothly, like swimwear, on the horse’s shoulders but, not so tight to create a rub.

Shoulder Guard Care

The Lycra shoulder guard contains 80% nylon/ 20% spandex fabric. Therefore, it is machine washable. Air dries fast.  Also, follow our simple Care Instructions for best results.  Wash the shoulder slicker at least once a month to prevent bacteria buildup.
